Junior Data Analyst

For the Czech Centre for Phenogenomics (CCP) hosted by the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IMG), we announce an open position of Junior Data Analyst.


Core responsibilities

  • Pioneering the development of web and shiny applications for in vivo models of human diseases
  • Ensuring data quality and end-to-end management of phenotyping data, from collection to publication
  • Providing support for scientific community in data analysis including advanced statistical methods as linear modelling, cluster analysis, etc.
  • Actively engaged in the development and support of process automation initiatives to streamline workflow and extremely reduce time spent on manual data exports

    Requirements

    • Willingness to learn and develop new solutions in data preprocessing
    • Experience in R (experience with other languages like Python and MySQL is an advantage)
    • Knowledge of statistical analysis
    • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
    • Good communication skills
    • Capability to work both in a team and independently
    • B.Sc. in bioinformatics, statistics, mathematics, or a related subject, with a relevant track record in the field
