“Providing the cellular location of all proteins encoded in the trypanosome genome”

Dr. Jack Sunter

University of Oxford, Oxford

Annotation:

Dr. Sunter will talk about the progress of the TrypTag project aiming to determine cellular localization of every protein encoded in the genome of Trypanosoma brucei. This flagellated protozoan is the causative agent of the African sleeping sickness. Moreover, due to its experimental tractability is used to study conserved features of the eukaryotic cell.
