Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to the 5-day practical course “Transmission electron microscopy in life sciences”.

The course is aimed at beginners and intermediate users of transmission electron microscopes. After the course, participants will understand the principles of construction and function of  transmission electron microscopes, the basics of sample preparation techniques, and will receive the extensive practice during hands-on sessions on three transmission electron microscopes of varying complexity. The participants are encouraged to bring their own samples on TEM grids for imaging. The course will be taught in English.

The course is organized by the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Czechoslovak Microscopy Society at the premises of the IMG in Prague on 26th – 30th November 2018. Favourable registration fees are set due to the support by the Czech-BioImaging.
