The five-day course with theory and practical exercises covers the basics of processing and analysis of microscopic images, including the application of stereological methods.


 

The five-day course with theory and practical exercises covers the basics of processing and analysis of microscopic images, including the application of stereological methods. Great emphasis will be put on practical exercises using the freely available Fiji program (http://fiji.sc). Students will also use ilastik (www.ilastik.org) for segmentation, Huygens (https://svi.nl) for deconvolution and Imaris (www.bitplane.com) for 3D/4D visualization and analysis.

The course follows the course Microscopy methods in biomedicine, the previous attendance of this course, however, is not necessary.

The course will be taught in English.
