Laboratory of Cilia Genetics and Pathology is seeking a highly motivated candidate to work on regulation of intraciliary actin dynamics during ciliogenesis and signalling.
Our research group focuses on understanding how primary cilia regulate cell signalling and impact cellular functions in both healthy and disease states. Recent findings highlight the actin cytoskeleton as an integral component of cilia, essential for their growth and function. In this project, we will use a combination of molecular biology, biochemistry, and proteomics to identify key regulators of intraciliary actin, investigate their role in cilia homeostasis and signalling, and explore how their dysfunction contributes to the development of specific ciliopathies.
