Lab Manager/Technician in the Laboratory of Immunophysiology

Laboratory of Immunophysiology is seeking a motivated Lab Manager/Technician to support the daily operation of the lab and contribute to experimental work within an international environment at a top science center.


Job description

  • Performing administrative tasks necessary for running the lab, including ordering and maintenance of reagents and consumable stocks
  • Performing wet-lab experiments, including in vitro cell culture, ex vivo cellular and tissue characterization with flow cytometry and microscopy, and in vivo mouse manipulations
  • Performing mouse colony management, including genotyping
  • Other (collaborative) activities related to the preparation and implementation of experiments  

Requirements

  • Education in biology related fields (at least at the bachelor level)
  • Experience with work in the laboratory
  • Experience with work with laboratory animals (mouse husbandry, handling and basic interventions)
  • Working knowledge of English and Czech languages
  • Study and/or work experiences abroad are considered an advantage

The employer is the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The workplace is in the BIOCEV campus in Vestec.

The initial contract is for 12 months with expected extension upon demonstrated proficiency.
The trial period is 4 months.
