Course Structure and Practical Training

Short lectures introduce the theoretical background of AI-based image analysis and machine learning workflows.

Most of the time is dedicated to practical sessions in small groups, allowing participants to work directly with scanR software and their own datasets under the guidance of experienced application specialists.

During the hands-on sessions, participants will:

• Learn the complete scanR analysis workflow
• Understand AI-assisted segmentation strategies
• Process and analyze their own image datasets
• Train custom AI models
• Validate trained models and optimize performance
• Integrate AI models into routine scanR analysis

The goal of the course is not only to demonstrate available tools, but to help participants understand when and how AI-based approaches can be applied effectively in biological image analysis.
